The force of Secularism demands Dr. Rowan Williams to Quit!!!

 

The force of secularism once more raised its voice for modern and progressive social and cultural norms and demanded Dr. William Archbishop of Canterbury to quit as for public his recent denial is not enough. The International Campaign Against Sharia Court in Canada right from its establishment announced that the move for Sharia court is a universal move and must be resisted by all defender of the human rights universally. It declared that we need to defend secularism which is the total separation of religion from the state and education.  We need to turn religion into a private matter of individuals while defending freedom of religion.

 

On February 15^th  2006 the force of secular movement made its historical move in Canada and pushed Ministry of the Attorney General Michael Bryant to overcome Sharia Court in Canada by stating  “when it comes to family law arbitrations in this province, there is only one law for all and that is Law of Canada”. Under the same force Swedish government came out firm as the integration and equality minister Jens Orback announced “We will not have separate laws in Sweden. In Sweden, we are all equal before the law. In Sweden, we have fought for a long time to achieve gender-neutral laws, and to propose that certain groups should not be treated like others is completely unacceptable." This force is for equal and universal rights and freedom for all, it is for one system of education, one system of court, one recognition of citizenship.  This force is for the widest individual and civil rights in the present societies.  This force now demands Dr Rowan Williams the Archbishop of Canterbury to quit.

 

The International Campaign against Sharia Court in Canada on its press released issued on Sep 11, 2005 stated “the rise of Sharia law is a global,

together we have defeated the forces of ‘Political Islam’ in Ontario, but this is just the first step .We must not stop here, we need to continue the fight and assist people in other countries who live under the burdens of Sharia Law and Political Islam…countries such as England, India, Iran, Iraq, Netherlands and Nigeria…  the people there are counting on us.”

 

 

The key for Dr. Rowan Williams is the word “social cohesion” as he clearly stated: ” adopting parts of Islamic Sharia law would help maintain social cohesion”,  but the informing principle in his strategy is: to give in to political Islam. Not knowing that this can demand a larger share from superpower in the division of political and economic power on the global scene by the Islamists. The truth is that people want to repel Islamic movement and its terrorism globally.  They want to close its chapter. People are well aware of the debate that Seik Mumtaz Ali the initiator of Sharia court in Canada, Dr. Rowan Williams Archbishop of Canterbury and John Tory the leader of the Ontario PC put forward has nothing to do with integration and demolishing discrimination.

Dr Rowan Williams, like Mr. Momtaz Ali and his other colleague are promoting more segregation and discrimination by putting forward the argument of minority rights versus individual rights, In the name of “respect for multiculturalism” and cultural relativism which leaves people at the mercy of their own culture, They claim since the population of Muslims is increasing therefore the government has to validate and legalize their collective rights as Muslims and permit Sharia court.

One needs to know more about these collective rights of so called Islamic communities, such as the right to practice polygamy ( having more than one wife at the same time), and the right to forced and arranged marriages or even early child bride.    While death by stoning is the penalty for women who commit adultery, many Muslim men can enjoy multiple marriages either for pleasure or as one of the ways to resolve family disputes. If a Muslim man is not pleased with his wife in any way, he can avoid divorce and make use of his collective rights. He can keep his disobedient wife as a maid and marry another woman. Even though it is illegal according to civil law but it is allowed by Sharia law which is based on perceived duties to God. Sharia law will allow him and his legal wife has to agree to him taking a second additional wife as sanctioned by Islam.

 What is actually missing in this picture is the right of the specific individuals in the group, that is, the rights of the first and the second wife. These individuals are left with no rights of immunity of body and mind, with no guarantee of the necessities of a normal life in present-day society, with no assurance of individual independence, with no ability to seek the truth about all areas of social life, and without equal status in the family. Since these types of marriages are not legal in the west, should the relationship dissolve, these individuals (wives) are therefore left with no rights to their husband’s income, pension, benefits, or to any share of the family home.

 Asking civilized progressive People to accept their nonsense is impossible. This massive force knows the claim for social cohesion is in fact noting but division of society into cultural, religious, national and racial majorities and minorities through promoting Islamic schools and Islamic Centers and establishing Sharia Court.  

 

 People heard their message and stood firm against their proposal of Sharia Law, which is a well-known banner for anti-freedom, anti-women, misogynist and anti-modernism and is strongly endorses gender apartheid.

 

People are for recognition of the Citizen’s rights, for reduction of the religious power over society and achievement of the secular system and secular legislations.  For this they stood firm to keep faith based arbitration out of Canada and when John Tory and his party made the issue that tax payers fund all other faith schools as part of their platform for next election received the biggest political hit ever in history of Canada by not getting the vote. The force of secularism made Robert Runciman the Leader of the Ontario Conservative Party, to present this statement “The Ontario PC Caucus gathered together after the election and it was decided that we will not pursue the policy of faith based education any further.

 

The same people who cherish values such as unconditional freedom of criticism, equality and elimination of discrimination, well-being and the happiness of all, will not fall for their recipe; instead they opposed this reactionary ideas that endorses the Islamists movement with patient.
